Upcoming Webinars
Zero Energy Homes Pricing Overview
Noon, Feb. 26
Making all-electric homes more affordable is central to our mission. In this webinar, we will share the Zero Energy Homes pricing tool, looking at the standard pricing of the 2-bedroom/1-bathroom Osprey and new 3-bedroom/2-bathroom home model. We will explore standard addition and subtraction options, from roofing types to mudrooms, to understand how they impact price. We will also discuss creative ways to lower costs by completing some of the finish work yourself through “sweat equity.”
The webinar will conclude with a discussion and Q&A. This is a great session for people who have already had an introduction to the pricing tool and need a refresher, or people who are not ready to meet with Zero Energy Homes 1:1 but would still like to learn about pricing information.
How Solar Power Runs in a Zero Energy Home
Noon, Mar. 18
Interested in going solar but not sure how it works? Join Zero Energy Homes and our partner Maine Solar Solutions to learn the ins and outs of owning a net zero energy home. We will cover what “net zero” means, how we get to net zero, the features of an all-electric home that produces as much energy as it uses, and how Maine Solar Solutions assesses solar needs at the beginning of a build. We will also cover how a home solar array works, how Maine Solar Solutions provides ongoing support once you’ve moved into the home, and answers to frequently asked questions.
What folks are saying:
“The test was far better than code requirements. The Osprey Lane house will be warm all winter and well-ventilated with an energy-recovery ventilator. It will be not only affordable to build but affordable to live in.”
