The Zero Energy Homes precast foundation is a traditional stem wall foundation that we build in our Wiscasset facility and deliver to the home site during the home set. It is the only home foundation that we offer in-house.

Because it is cast in advance inside of our state of the art facility, the foundation can be installed at the same time that the home is set on a customer’s property. Coordinating these two steps streamlines the home building process, offering flexibility and efficiency.

Stem wall foundations can be a good option for sites that have ledge, and they are less costly than some other foundation types, such as full basements, because they require less site work and use less cement. Stem walls also provide space under the home to run plumbing and other mechanical needs.
